The forecast for the Washington Metro area this Memorial Day weekend is near perfect. After being inundated with rain for most of the spring, sunny, dry weather is predicted for our three day weekend. What a great time to get outside and get moving!
And what better place to move than right in your own backyard. You know it well–just one step outside your back door. Leave the car keys on the table, forget about $4.00 a gallon gas, and go play a game.
Long® Fence is pleased to provide fencing to support two upcoming regional events that highlight our Armed Services.
The USO Military Expo Village will be held at the Dover International Speedway NASCAR Race May 13-15, 2011 in Dover, Delaware. The largest military show ever featured at a NASCAR track will have visual and interactive displays including a replica foxhole that fully shows the living conditions for a soldier currently deployed overseas. The foxhole setup is designed with all the items a soldier would have to create their living quarters. For additional information go to USO Military Expo. Or check out Dover International Speedway.
May means it’s time to plant annuals, clean the porch, and dust off the charcoal grill. Yes, I said charcoal. Gas grills are great, but I still love the flavor of a burger cooked on my kettle grill. What I don’t like is using chemical lighter fluid to start the fire. For years, I used electric starters which work well until you leave them out in the rain or they simply disintegrate after years of use.
