Long® Fence is proud to be a contributing sponsor to the Military Bowl matchup between the Air Force Falcons and University of Toledo Rockets held at RFK Stadium in Washington DC on December 28, 2011. The event will air live on ESPN at 4:30 pm EST.
Long® Fence has donated the fencing that will surround Military Village on the Armory Mall. Military Village is an event unlike any other showcasing our military’s assets that are used world-wide to secure our safety. The village will be nestled between the DC Armory and RFK Stadium so that the vast majority of game day attendees can visit and walk through the Village to get a first hand look at our military strength. Many government contractor participants will be in attendance with special give-a-ways to the public throughout the day.
It’s hard to find anyone who hasn’t been affected by the difficulties our country has faced during these past few years, so we’d like to take a moment to thank our customers, business partners and employees, knowing that each and every one of you has a story to tell. We are also grateful to our veterans, who protect our rights and freedoms. We hope Thanksgiving will find all of you blessed with a place to call home, plentiful food and the comfort and warmth of family and friends.

Many of our area high schools are having their graduation ceremonies in the next couple weeks. This exciting time of year is often overshadowed by tragedy as celebrating students engage in behaviors that put them and others at risk. Fortunately, most schools provide alternative activities for graduating students that help keep them safe and sane. Long® Fence is proud to have been a long-time supporter of two of our area high schools’ Grad Night celebrations by providing temporary fence to secure the venues of the Grad Night festivities.
Long® Fence is pleased to provide fencing to support two upcoming regional events that highlight our Armed Services.
The USO Military Expo Village will be held at the Dover International Speedway NASCAR Race May 13-15, 2011 in Dover, Delaware. The largest military show ever featured at a NASCAR track will have visual and interactive displays including a replica foxhole that fully shows the living conditions for a soldier currently deployed overseas. The foxhole setup is designed with all the items a soldier would have to create their living quarters. For additional information go to USO Military Expo. Or check out Dover International Speedway.
For the fifth year in a row, Long® Fence has donated fencing to the United States Marine Corps for the District of Columbia Toys for Tots drive. Portable security fence panels were provided for use inside the Marine Corps Reserve Training Center at the Anacostia Annex in Washington DC. The panels are used to create a secure storage facility for the donated toys. Because of the large volume of toys received during the drive, the fencing is utilized for a period of about three months to restrict access to the toy storage area.
Long® Fence is proud to be able to provide support to this time-honored cause on the part of our United States Marine Corps. We wish them much success with their 2010 Toys for Tots campaign.
